Bret Taylor, CTO of Facebook said he wished his own start-up FriendFeed had used cloud services when it started.

The cloud is more accessible, durable and stable most of our 3rdeyeview sites that have any amount of traffic are hosted on the cloud. As the cost now is much cheaper than running your own server it seems like the right decision.
