We started with an idea of providing a place where people could build Facebook custom fan pages for $99 which was a very good price at the time, as we built the website we tried to add more benefit to the paying customer, and ended up with a product that makes a Fan page, and a webpage, with email, and with tracking, all for £10 one off fee with no monthly costs ever, the we added edit, so the customer could change their message at will.
The question is, where do you draw the line as far as how much value you give away in your product?
Try this software, If you're like most businesses, you run several systems scattered throughout your company. e-commerce hosted with company X, QuickBooks on the backend, ERP perhaps somewhere else, and a CRM application, each running in its own isolated environment. There's lots of double data entry and lost intelligence which as a result means lost business. Now you can have it all under one root your web store, CRM, ERP, customer portal - AND financials.
